[Remote] Social Media Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Neon One is a leader in nonprofit software, creating solutions that empower small and mid-sized nonprofits. The Social Media Manager will develop and execute organic social media strategies to enhance brand awareness and engage audiences, while managing content across various platforms to ensure a consistent brand voice.
Responsibilities
- Full ownership of our social media strategy, from ideation to execution, reporting, and optimization
- Own content creation and curation for LinkedIn, Meta, and other relevant platforms focused on customer-centric content that addresses the real-world challenges nonprofit professionals face, focusing on their needs rather than our products
- Maintain a consistent brand voice while driving continued growth across following and engagement
- Develop a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector and our ICP to ensure all content feels authentic, resonates with our audience, and acts as an extension of Neon One's thought leadership
- Concept and execute social-first content, graphics, and lightweight video content (e.g., explainers, ads, how-tos, testimonials) to support storytelling, product marketing, and community engagement across platforms
- Manage daily organic social operations: scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and moderation
- Leverage AI tools (Gemini, Canva AI, CapCut AI features, etc.) to scale content production while maintaining high creative standards and brand consistency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align social media initiatives with broader business goals
- Stay current on platform updates, emerging trends, and best practices to keep our social presence ahead of the curve
- Maintain exceptionally high standards for all copy and creative work—every post should be polished, error-free, and on-brand
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics such as reach, engagement, CTR, follower growth, lead gen, and content resonance
- Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations to optimize strategy and content in real-time
- Identify what's working, and what's not, and pivot quickly to stay aligned with evolving audience behavior and business goals
- Set benchmarks, create weekly reports, and communicate performance to internal stakeholders in a clear, compelling way
- Design and run A/B tests or experiments to refine post formats, messaging, and publishing cadence
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience owning B2B social media strategy, execution, and reporting
- Background in B2B marketing is required; SaaS, nonprofit industry experience is a plus
- Proven track record of driving organic growth (audience, engagement, lead generation) on LinkedIn and Meta
- Experience using AI tools (Gemini, Canva AI, video editing AI, or similar) to increase content production efficiency and quality
- Exceptional copywriting and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail and quality
- Strong customer empathy and ability to write from the customer's perspective, not the company's
- Proficiency in graphic design and basic video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut)
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social)
- Deep knowledge of platform algorithms, features, and content formats
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to act as the subject matter expert on social media marketing
- Analytical thinker with a data-driven approach to problem-solving
- Able to collaborate cross-functionally with marketers, creatives, and subject matter experts
- Nonprofit sector knowledge or experience working with mission-driven organizations
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new industries and develop deep customer understanding
- Experience creating educational or thought leadership content for B2B audiences
- Background in content marketing or brand storytelling
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and how social integrates with broader campaigns
