[Remote] Frontend Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Green Line Digital is seeking a skilled Frontend Web Developer to join their digital team. The role involves collaborating with various teams to create and maintain fast, functional websites while ensuring a high level of design accuracy and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and customize WordPress sites using the SiteOrigin Page Builder and SiteOrigin CSS
- Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Translate design mockups into pixel-accurate, responsive page layouts while maintaining theme consistency across multi-page builds
- Evaluate, configure, and customize plugins to meet project requirements, writing custom overrides to extend functionality without breaking core updates
- Partner with the creative team for technical feasibility, SEO strategists for on-page optimizations (schema, Core Web Vitals), and backend engineers on API integrations
- Conduct cross-browser/device QA, optimize assets for Google PageSpeed/Lighthouse targets, and safely apply core updates across staging and production environments
Skills
- 2+ years of experience building and customizing WordPress sites, with specific hands-on experience using SiteOrigin Page Builder
- Proficiency with Shopify theme development, including Liquid templating and the Shopify admin ecosystem
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (vanilla JS; jQuery a plus)
- Experience customizing plugins and writing CSS/JS overrides that survive updates
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices as they apply to web development (page speed, structured data, semantic markup, Core Web Vitals)
- Comfort with Git for version control and collaborative development
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to pixel-level accuracy
- Experience with Elementor/Divi, Shopify's Dawn theme, REST APIs, or WCAG accessibility standards
