Role Overview
This position is fully remote, open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and technical program managers across multiple data platform groups. Your primary focus will be on ingesting, validating, and maintaining high‑volume data sets that feed into arenaflex’s recommendation engines, analytics pipelines, and content delivery systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high‑accuracy data entry, transformation, and validation for large‑scale data feeds.
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools (primarily in Python) to automate repetitive data‑handling tasks.
- Collaborate with the Data Access Platform team to ensure that data ingestion pipelines meet latency and throughput targets.
- Work closely with the Data Platform Foundation group to integrate new data sources into existing platforms while adhering to best practices for security and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture workshops to continuously improve data platform robustness.
- Monitor data quality metrics, troubleshoot anomalies, and implement corrective actions in real time.
- Contribute to open‑source initiatives and share knowledge with the broader arenaflex engineering community.
- Document processes, create runbooks, and provide training to junior team members.
Essential Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience building or maintaining large‑scale distributed systems or data‑intensive applications.
- Proficiency in at least one object‑oriented programming language such as Java, C++, or Go.
- Strong command of Python for scripting, data manipulation, and automation.
- Hands‑on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL query optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot data pipelines that handle petabyte‑scale workloads.
