The health insurance brokerage market is a $400B+ revenue line built on a structure that hasn't changed in 40 years. Brokers earn 4-8% of premium for placing a plan and managing a renewal. When premiums go up, they earn more. Efficiency cuts their own commission. The people closest to the problem are paid to leave it alone - exactly the kind of market where AI-native builders win. Group captives, AI-powered TPA tooling, and CMS price transparency rules are pulling self-funded structures down into the 25-200 employee cohort for the first time - roughly 6 million US businesses with no incumbent built to serve them. We're exploring two distinct entry points into this market, and we're looking for the founder with the conviction and credibility to own one of them. Forum derisks and accelerates the Founder path by: A $250K USD investment, and an end-to-end fundraising playbook and network to raise your seed and Series A A validation partner with proven playbooks, networks, and the systems to validate, unlock your ICP, ignite your sales pipeline, and beyond The support of our experienced operating team - from business design, product development, growth, recruitment, legal and more Executing a winning GTM strategy to get to $50-100K ARR, and the right MVP to ensure early traction A community full of mentors, peers, and leaders $100K+ worth of business perks About you: Early-stage operator experience with a proven track record of building, selling and navigating the health insurance and insurance tech world. You may have sold insurance products into SMB HR/benefit buyers, built high trust relationships with brokerages, and run the sales cycle end to end before building a team to execute on a proven playbook. You may have operated inside a carrier, TPA, or self-insured structured with real ownership over plan design, stop-loss, or claims administration. The ability to attract, hire and lead world-class teams A demonstrated passion for technology’s ability to change the world A desire to be a venture-backed founder Canada or US-based, and the ability to collaborate in North American time zones.
