[Remote] Lead Business Systems Analyst

The Lead Business Systems Analyst will independently define and document system objectives, collaborating closely with various teams to support the actuarial valuations and investments divisions.

Responsibilities

• Performs the formulation, definition, and documentation of systems/application scope and objectives working closely with systems architecture, development and engineering teams
• Works on highly complex systems/applications and prepares detailed specifications from which system/applications will be developed and maintained
• Performs key portions of the system development lifecycle including gathering, documenting and analyzing requirements for highly complex, multi-platform applications
• Maintains documentation, project tracking, and key stakeholder reporting metrics
• Performs highly complex system/application testing to ensure delivery meets business and end-user expectations
• Provides day to day support to existing applications and troubleshoots system/applications performance issues as they arise
• Acts as the primary liaison between key business area and systems teams, and communicates project feasibility, status and issues to key stakeholders
• Collaborate with key functional stakeholders and team, to facilitate the creation of project plans in accordance with business ranked priorities

Skills

• 8 -10+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst or equivalent experience
• High Collaborative team skills - as a trusted leader, leadership must be able to rely-upon this is a lead role providing oversight and guidance to team
• Participates in leadership-initiated vendor engagement to aid in resolution of contract personnel issues
• Ability to forge and maintain strong business partnerships
• Software development background
