In the realm of autonomous driving, the quality of annotated images, video clips, and 3D sensor data directly determines how well the vehicle can understand its surroundings. As a Data Annotation Supervisor , you will lead a team of skilled Data Annotation Specialists who meticulously label raw sensor data, ensuring that careerzynith’s neural networks receive the most accurate “ground truth” possible. Your leadership will accelerate the development cycle, improve model performance, and ultimately bring safer self‑driving technology to market faster.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Design, implement, and continuously refine training programs for a team of 15‑30 Data Annotation Specialists.
  • Track individual and team performance metrics using careerzynith’s proprietary quality‑control dashboard; produce monthly performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Conduct bi‑annual performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and develop personalized growth plans for each team member.
  • Recognize and reward high‑performing annotators on a monthly cadence to foster a culture of excellence.
  • Mentor direct reports, ensuring they have the resources, guidance, and motivation needed to succeed.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily task allocation across quality‑control and labeling pipelines, prioritizing work queues based on project deadlines and resource availability.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring they are up‑to‑date and accessible to the entire team.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and Autopilot product teams to translate technical constraints into clear annotation guidelines.
  • Identify bottlenecks, propose process improvements, and drive initiatives that increase annotation throughput without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Manage timekeeping and attendance through careerzynith’s internal workforce management system, guaranteeing compliance with labor regulations.

Quality Assurance & Data Integrity

  • Conduct regular audits of annotated data to verify adherence to quality standards and to catch systematic errors early.
  • Develop and maintain a robust feedback loop with the machine‑learning engineering team to refine annotation guidelines based on model performance insights.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis for annotation errors, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all annotated datasets meet the stringent accuracy thresholds required for safe autonomous vehicle operation.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the annotation team and the broader Autopilot development organization.
  • Participate in sprint planning, release retrospectives, and roadmap discussions to align annotation priorities with product milestones.
  • Provide clear, concise updates to stakeholders on annotation progress, challenges, and upcoming resource needs.
  • Assist in the creation of training materials, knowledge‑base articles, and onboarding documentation for new annotators.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing medium‑sized teams (10‑30 members) in a manual‑operations or data‑annotation environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high‑quality results under resource constraints.
  • Strong commitment to data accuracy and a track record of implementing quality‑control processes.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with a rapid learning curve for new tools and workflows.
  • Proven experience presenting complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
