Position Summary: the Principal Technical Product Manager drives enterprise product strategy for pharmacy-focused digital platforms, delivering measurable business impact through scalable, secure, and patient-centric solutions. Owns end-to-end product vision, roadmap, and execution across mobile, web, and API ecosystems, aligning cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes. Leverages AI as a force multiplier to accelerate speed, improve quality, and enhance decision-making through data-driven insights and automation. Operates within Empower’s high-growth, highly regulated 503A/503B environment, ensuring compliance, resilience, and innovation while modernizing platforms to expand access to high-quality, affordable medications. Responsibilities: Product Strategy Vision Ownership: Define and drive long-term product vision and multi-year roadmap aligned to enterprise priorities, balancing innovation with regulatory requirements. Roadmap Execution: Lead prioritization and sequencing of strategic initiatives, ensuring disciplined execution against roadmap commitments. Value Realization: Establish success metrics tied to business impact, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency, ensuring product investments deliver measurable value. Technology and AI Leadership Architecture Alignment: Partner with engineering and architecture leaders to define scalable, secure, and interoperable system designs. AI Integration: Champion the integration of AI across product capabilities to enhance decision-making, automation, and personalization. Platform Modernization: Drive adoption of modern technologies across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure while reducing technical debt. Execution and Collaboration Stakeholder Alignment: Influence executive stakeholders and align cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and business units. Program Leadership: Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, removing obstacles and ensuring delivery of strategic objectives. Continuous Improvement: Promote ongoing optimization through data and AI insights to improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Knowledge and Skills: Deep expertise in product management, API ecosystems, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure. Advanced proficiency leveraging AI and data analytics to drive product strategy and decision-making. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder influence skills. Expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and quality standards within highly regulated industries. Experience and Qualifications: Minimum of 12 years of experience leading technical products with a track record of delivering complex, scalable platforms in regulated environments. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred. Strong strategic thinking and communication skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive organizational change. Deep technical expertise in APIs, system integrations, enterprise platforms, cloud infrastructure, and modern technology stacks.
