Role Description This is a fully remote Independent Travel Agent role responsible for managing clients’ end-to-end travel needs. On a day-to-day basis, you will consult with clients to understand their preferences and budgets, research travel options, and prepare customized itineraries. You will handle reservations for flights, hotels, cruises, car rentals, and other travel services, ensuring accuracy and timely confirmations. The role includes providing responsive customer service before, during, and after travel, addressing questions, changes, and issues as they arise. You will also engage in sales activities, such as following up on inquiries, recommending upgrades or add-ons, and maintaining long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
Qualifications
- Strong reservations skills, including booking and managing flights, hotels, and packages using online booking tools or GDS platforms.
- Proven customer service abilities, with a focus on clear communication, problem-solving, and maintaining a professional, client-centered approach.
- Experience arranging travel, including creating itineraries, coordinating multi-leg trips, and handling last-minute changes.
- Familiarity with car rental bookings, policies, and options to support comprehensive travel arrangements.
- Sales skills, including consultative selling, upselling relevant services, and following up on leads to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Comfort with remote work, including reliable internet access, basic technical proficiency, and the ability to manage time and tasks independently.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple client requests and deadlines simultaneously.
- Prior experience in the travel industry or related customer-facing roles is preferred, but candidates with strong transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
