Position: Documentation Specialist with RFP Location: Remote... Duration: One year - C2C (own corp) / 1099 Experience: 6-7 years This is a Contract to Hire position. PRIMARY PURPOSE: To create and maintain technical communications, RFP responses and user guides related to our systems and applications ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS And RESPONSIBILITIES • Researches, writes, edits and maintains various communications, software enhancements, technical procedures, processes and other information; interprets highly-technical and intensive information and transforms into user-friendly and easy-to-understand communications and documentation. • Writes technical communications and documentation based on discussions with IT management and other subject matter experts. • Responds to IT-centric RFP (Request for Proposals) questions. Works with subject matter experts to craft new answers and review existing language. • Assists other departments with technology-related projects by writing, editing and reviewing creative materials as well as providing information and direction. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS And RESPONSIBILITIES • Performs other duties as assigned. • Supports the organization's quality program(s). • Travels as required. Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field from an accredited college or university preferred. Experience Five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include two (2) years of technical writing experience. Technical and claims industry experience. Experience using Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and RFPIO preferred. Skills & Knowledge • Good knowledge of technology verbiage for documentation of procedures and directions for usage • Strong communication skills including accurate spelling and use of the English language in both written and oral communications. • Good knowledge of how to locate and identify essential information • Technical, analytical and interpretive skills • Strong organizational skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent negotiation skills • Creative, innovative and detail oriented • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Ability to perform multiple tasks and set priorities • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies NOTE: Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check, is required for this position Apply Job!
