Job Description:
As a CDL Class B Delivery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering packages to homes and businesses on your assigned route. You will be required to load and unload packages, interact with customers, and maintain accurate delivery records.
Responsibilities:
– Safely operate a Class B commercial vehicle in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and FedEx policies
– Load and unload packages from your vehicle, using a dolly or hand truck when necessary
– Deliver packages to customers in a timely and efficient manner
– Use electronic devices and apps to track and report deliveries
– Provide excellent customer service and resolve any issues with deliveries as they arise
– Maintain a clean and professional appearance and keep your vehicle clean and in good working order at all times
Requirements:
– A valid CDL Class B license
– A clean driving record
– Ability to physically lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs
– Excellent customer service skills
– Familiarity with electronic delivery tracking systems
– Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Educational Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:
Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, but not required. FedEx will provide paid training for qualified applicants.
