Job Description:
As a cashier, you will be the face of Walmart Inc. and will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring customers’ checkout process is quick and efficient, and that their shopping experience is pleasant and satisfying.
Responsibilities:
– Handle cash transactions with customers using cash registers
– Scan goods and collect payments
– Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
– Make sales referrals, cross-sell products and introduce new ones
– Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
– Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
– Provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
– Basic PC knowledge
– Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
– Strong communication and time management skills
– Customer satisfaction-oriented
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Educational Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
Experience:
Previous work experience in a customer service role would be beneficial. However, we provide comprehensive training for all our new cashiers, so no prior cashiering experience is necessary.
