Job Overview: We’re seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst to join their team. This hybrid role requires expertise in accounting operations and financial analysis to support decision-making and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of detail-oriented accounting skills and strategic financial insight to drive organizational growth. Responsibilities: • Financial Reporting & General Ledger Management • Prepare periodic financial statements, including month-end and year-end close processes, with supporting workpapers. • Maintain accurate and GAAP-compliant general ledger accounts, ensuring timely reconciliations and journal entries. • Review and analyze financial reports to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance. • Advanced Financial Analysis • Develop and analyze financial models, forecasts, and projections to support strategic decision-making. • Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities, offering actionable insights to leadership and clients. • Create and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and variance analyses tailored to client needs, leveraging Google Sheets and AI tools. • Client Advisory & Process Improvement • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering white-glove, agile outsourced accounting services. • Collaborate with leadership teams to align accounting practices with business goals, optimizing cash flow, budgets, and resources. • Evaluate current workflows and implement automated solutions using AI tools and advanced Excel/Google Sheets capabilities. • Technology Integration & Optimization • Lead the integration of accounting systems, ensuring scalability and efficiency for growing SMBs. • Optimize financial processes by implementing automation tools to streamline data entry, reporting, and analysis. • Maintain and enhance financial systems to provide real-time visibility into financial health. • Strategic Partnering & Compliance • Support strategic initiatives such as cost optimization, resource allocation, and financial planning. • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards, including GAAP. • Assist in the preparation and documentation of audit-ready financial statements when required. Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies: • Education & Certification: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. • Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of consecutive public accounting experience. • Proven track record of supporting SMBs, with expertise in financial reporting and analysis. • Experience with US accounting firms • Technical Skills: • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel, including automation and data analysis tools (e.g., pivot tables, macros). • Strong knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar). • Experience leveraging AI tools to streamline financial processes and improve decision-making. • Soft Skills: • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. • Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying complex financial data for diverse stakeholders. • Ability to manage multiple engagements and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
