New York Workers' Compensation Claims Supervisor | Remote

Our client, an ‘A’ rated Insurance Company, is seeking to add an experienced New York Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor due to continued growth. This person will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of 3 – 4 New York Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiners which includes assigning/overseeing files, managing the workers' compensation claims process, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, training and developing, as well as serve as the main point of contact for clients/insureds. • Supervise and manage a team of claims adjusters, providing guidance, training, and support. • Oversee the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of workers' compensation claims. • Ensure compliance with New York Workers' Compensation laws, regulations, and company policies. • Review and approve claims settlements, denials, and litigation strategies. • Conduct regular audits of claims files to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Collaborate with medical providers, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate the claims process. • Prepare and present reports on claims activity, trends, and outcomes to senior management. • Develop and implement strategies to improve claims handling efficiency and effectiveness. • Provide expert advice and guidance on complex claims and legal issues. Qualifications: • 7 - 15 years' experience in New York Workers' Compensation claims • 3 – 6+ years' experience as a Claims Supervisor / Claims Manager. • In-depth knowledge of New York Workers' Compensation laws and regulations. • Current or prior experience managing a remote team is strongly preferred. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
