About the position The Supervisory Teller is responsible for overseeing the Teller-Line operations while performing the duties of a Teller. This role ensures operational effectiveness and exceptional customer service, delegates tasks, trains new hires, and resolves customer service issues. The position requires strong leadership skills to guide staff and promote Apple Bank products and services effectively. Responsibilities • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Teller line by delegating and monitoring work assignments. , • Provide necessary resources for Tellers to develop their knowledge and skills. , • Provide technical guidance regarding customer service, operating, and regulatory procedures. , • Cross train Teller staff to assist in additional tasks. , • Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times by coaching and motivating Tellers. , • Process transactions including check cashing, large withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments. , • Identify and resolve customer service issues and troubleshoot complex problems. , • Utilize knowledge of Apple Bank products and services to assist customers effectively. , • Identify sales opportunities and promote Bank products/services by directing customers to appropriate colleagues. , • Ensure compliance with operational controls to minimize risk and protect client financial well-being. , • Maintain responsibility for cash drawer and follow proper balancing procedures. , • Conduct monthly audits of the cash available to Tellers and maintain branch logs. , • Assist with the opening and closing of the bank vault. , • Schedule Teller breaks and assist in preparing work schedules. Requirements • High school diploma or GED required. , • 2+ years of experience in a Teller position; previous supervisory experience is helpful. , • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal + written). , • Ability to train, motivate, counsel, and develop staff. , • Thorough knowledge of all banking floor products/services. , • Basic math skills and computer skills required. , • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively. , • Sound judgment and discretion when utilizing confidential information.
