Business Intelligence Analyst (Auto Finance-Collections)

Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst (Auto Finance-Collections) NOTE: This position is NOT remote and will be required to be on site full time (Local DFW Candidates) RESPONSIBILITIES Summary of Responsibilities: The Business Intelligence Analyst position is responsible developing and reporting KPIs, KRIs, and other metrics associated with risk, portfolio acquisition and performance, servicing activities, and other risk and performance metrics. Additionally, this person is responsible for maintaining and trouble-shooting reports and working closely with the IT/database team in the interest of achieving the overall company objectives. The position will primarily involve the reporting and analytics of Loan Portfolio Management to ensure accuracy, compliance, and good data and reporting governance. Essential Functions: • Provide actionable insights through data analytics: o Identify opportunities for growth, profit, cost savings, efficiency, etc. through deep analysis and understanding of company and industry data o Develop dashboards, presentations, and other communications to share meaningful business insights to internal clients • Develop and maintain essential reports for internal and external clients including: o Client Servicing reports o Portfolio Performance reports o Internal operational reports o Ad hoc reporting as needed • Proactively monitor and report relevant changes in acquisitions, servicing trends, and model performance • Effectively summarize and communicate the analysis of operations, collections, loss mitigation and other support teams to identify their ongoing needs and opportunities • Assist with ad hoc research projects incorporating data collection and analysis, summarization of findings, and presentation of results Other Functions: • Communicate and interact across all divisions as appropriate • Deliver assistance, recommendations, and feedback to Management • Document procedures, reports, and other processes • Maintain up to date knowledge of risk related data and analytics best practices • Special projects as requested. • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in an analytic or business field (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, etc.) required, advanced degree, certification preferred or relevant experience • Experience with various data analytics, reporting, and statistical techniques • Experience in auto finance and/or credit industries with preference given to candidates with knowledge of portfolio management and collections analytics • Advanced skills with SQL and Excel • Experience with reporting/data analytics (Visual Studio, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) • Detail oriented with strong technical skills, good judgment, problem solving skills and decision- making abilities • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required • Ability to work independently, handle multiple concurrent projects and manage time effectively • Self-starter with positive attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision • At least 2 years’ experience in an analytics/reporting role required • At least 2 years High volume Collections or Call Center experience required • At least 1 year in Auto Finance or Loan Portfolio Reporting required Working Conditions • Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs • Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call • Ability to maintain confidentiality Employer’s Rights This job description does not list all the duties of the job.
