About the position The Unit Associate I position at Atlantic Health System is designed to support the Registered Nurse and patient care team by providing essential nutritional, clinical, and transportation services. This role is crucial in promoting patient comfort and satisfaction while contributing to a positive work environment. The associate will engage in various activities that enhance patient care and support the healthcare team in their daily operations. Responsibilities ? Maintaining inventory supply and stocking units according to established procedures and standards. , ? Transporting patients and equipment, and delivering records and specimens. , ? Assisting nursing and medical personnel in delegated direct/indirect patient care activities. , ? Performing other relevant duties as assigned. Requirements ? High School Diploma or equivalent. , ? Six months of health care work experience, preferred. , ? Minimum 6 months of steady work history. Nice-to-haves ? Knowledge of and familiarity with hospital equipment, supplies and procedures. , ? Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergency/urgent situations and to follow established procedures. , ? Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with inter-professional staff, patients, families, visitors, and other hospital employees.
