DevOps Engineer
Part-Time DevOps Engineer (Expert-Level | Terraform, AWS, GCP) Remote | 2–4 Hours Per Day
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer who is highly proficient in Terraform, and deeply familiar with both AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’ll play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure at scale, ensuring robust security standards (including SOC 2 compliance), and driving cloud cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:Manage and scale cloud infrastructure using Terraform across AWS and GCP. Support SOC 2 security processes including infrastructure scans and remediation. Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance, availability, and reliability. Identify and implement cloud cost optimization strategies. Collaborate with the core engineering team to ensure infrastructure aligns with product needs. Automate infrastructure provisioning and maintenance wherever possible.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role. Expert-level proficiency with Terraform. Extensive hands-on experience with both AWS and GCP services. Proven track record of managing production systems at scale. Strong understanding of SOC 2 security requirements and cloud compliance practices. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote team environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have:Experience with infrastructure cost management tools (e.g., CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
