Social Media Producer (Remote - US)

One of our companies is currently looking for a Social Media Producer in United States. The Social Media Producer will be responsible for the daily creation and management of social media content, including vertical videos, user-generated content, and photography. This role requires strong expertise in short-form video editing, scripting, and a passion for Black culture and lifestyle. You will collaborate with the Editorial and Content Marketing teams to ensure that the social media content aligns with the company's strategy. The ideal candidate should be a creative and detail-oriented individual with a flair for viral marketing trends and an understanding of how to engage diverse audiences through social platforms. Accountabilities:

• Create and manage daily social media content, including videos, images, and text that resonate with target audiences, particularly Gen-Z and Millennials
• Pitch and produce engaging, social-first content that boosts the brand's presence on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
• Research trends and develop content strategies that align with the company's goals while leveraging trending news and archival content
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Editorial, Audience Development, Data Analytics) to drive engagement and meet site-wide growth objectives
• Assist with project management for content initiatives such as AfroTech and other team events, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with business objectives
• Monitor performance metrics and use insights to optimize future social media campaigns

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in content creation and production
• Strong knowledge of design principles and experience creating visually engaging content
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and project management tools like Asana
• In-depth understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, particularly for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
• Demonstrated ability to write engaging and persuasive social media copy for various audiences
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, with a talent for articulating project needs and timelines
• A passion for Black culture and lifestyle, with a deep understanding of how to connect with diverse communities
