Summary: Responsible for analysis and interpretation of moderately complex financial information. Utilizing independent judgment and discretion, identifies trends, variances, and key issues and provides recommendations for adjustment. Responsible for conducting moderately complex financial analysis projects and/or reporting. Prepares financial reports and recommends improvements in financial reporting systems. May conduct audits to ensure financial controls are maintained. May design, enhance and maintain system applications for processing and reporting financial information. May administer risk management and loss prevention programs to maintain maximum protection of the organization's assets at the most economical rates. Completes day-to-day Financial Analysis tasks without immediate supervision, but has ready access to advice from more experienced team members. Tasks involve a degree of forward planning and anticipation of needs/issues. Resolves non-routine issues escalated from more junior team members. Position Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst works closely with the Manager - Strategic Pricing and Contracting, to provide business support to Matrix GPO (Group Participating Organization) and other assigned business units. Under general supervision, plans, coordinates and implements financial and business processes to support and enhance the financial management of assigned business units. Position's main responsibilities will be related to rostering, variance analysis, benchmarking and reporting for Matrix GPO and our customer admin fees. Compiles and analyzes data to report on key performance metrics. Responsible for supporting group development and addressing operations statistical, business and financial information requests including budget, expenses, variances and year-to date performance. Assistance in developing competitive pricing strategies to gain market share and achieve revenue goals through data analysis and collaborative with sales teams. Key Responsibilities: Partnering with key business stakeholders (Finance, Operations, & Sales) to understand their analytical and decision support needs. Driving new modeling and analysis to enable actionable insights. Presenting findings and recommendations to business leaders via consolidated metrics. What we're looking for:

  • Advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills.
  • Ability to conduct complex, data driven analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate results of analysis in easy to understand business terms.
  • Strategical thinking pertaining to critical business issues.
  • Proven experience developing processes and/or improving existing processes, with desire to inspire change across the team and sales organization.
  • Thrive in a fast-pace, demanding environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field preferred
  • 2+ years relevant experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience with Enterprise Tools such as: Business Objects, SAP Hana Dashboards, Hyperion,
  • Essbase, Alteryx, Tableau, Power Pivots, Salesforce, basic to intermediate VBA/SQL knowledge.
  • Prior experiencing interacting with and reporting for a Distribution and/or Sales Organization.
  • Experiencing with VBA report automation, or the likes.
  • Experience interpreting contractual language
  • Experience/knowledge pertaining to the pharmaceutical industry is a plus, but not a requirement.
