Position Overview – Remote Member Service Representative (Part‑Time)

We are seeking a dedicated, self‑motivated Remote Customer Service Representative to join arenaflex’s Member Services team. In this role, you will provide courteous, accurate, and timely telephone assistance to members and health‑care providers regarding eligibility, benefits, and other inquiries related to our Medicaid and Medicare programs. This is a part‑time, work‑from‑home opportunity that requires a reliable home office setup and a commitment to delivering an exceptional member experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls from members and providers, delivering clear information on benefits, eligibility, prior authorizations, and supplemental programs.
  • Verify member identity, retrieve and update member records, and process requests for ID cards, provider changes, and other service modifications.
  • Maintain high call quality standards, meeting or exceeding performance metrics for accuracy, empathy, and efficiency.
  • Document all interactions in arenaflex’s CRM system, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including claims, enrollment, and IT—to resolve complex member issues promptly.
  • Participate in scheduled training sessions and ongoing coaching to continuously improve product knowledge and communication skills.
  • Adhere to the required high‑speed internet connectivity standards (ethernet connection only) and follow all security protocols for remote work.
  • When technical issues prevent remote work, travel to the arenaflex office in Linthicum, MD (within a 50‑mile radius) as needed.

Work Schedule & Training

  • Training Period (First 6 weeks): Monday‑Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST.
  • Production Schedule (Post‑Training): Monday‑Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST.
  • All training is conducted remotely; arenaflex provides the necessary equipment, software, and support.

Required Qualifications

  • Residence within a 50‑mile radius of Linthicum, MD (required for occasional on‑site visits).
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with members and providers, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated self‑discipline and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet access via Ethernet (Wi‑Fi connections are not permitted for security reasons).
  • Commitment to meeting attendance, performance, and call‑quality standards set by arenaxflex.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a remote call‑center or customer‑service role.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare programs, including eligibility rules and benefit structures.
  • Experience using CRM or ticketing platforms to document member interactions.
  • Basic knowledge of health‑care terminology and insurance processes.

Education & Training

While a high school diploma or GED is the minimum educational requirement, arenaflex encourages continuous learning.
